An Alliance Between Earth and Other Universes

Thanks to the gate rulers, the world was saved from being cleaved in half by the gargantuan sword. But the struggle was far from over.

Suddenly, a giant fracture appeared in the sky, and from it emerged an even greater swarm of Exvaders, led by a giant red dragon. The fight for Tokyo quickly developed into a full-scale battle. Later known as the Battle of the First Breach, Tokyo’s defenders were ultimately victorious, but the cost was high. The conflict resulted in the deaths of over 40,000 people, as well as the total destruction of three of Tokyo’s 23 wards.

But the threat of the Exvaders did not end there. Even after the Day of Destiny, smaller dimensional breaches would sporadically manifest themselves in the Tokyo area, subjecting the city to Exvader raids. And the influence of the Exvaders was not restricted to Tokyo, with strange phenomena taking place throughout the world. The worst among these was the complete loss of the Middle East, as the Exvaders trapped the entire region under a giant, impenetrable dome.

It was clear the Exvaders presented a continued existential threat to the whole of the Earth. The only hope for survival is for all of humanity to combine their strengths, along with all the help they can get from allies in other universes. And so, four factions joined forces to defend Earth from total annihilation. A new age of strife had begun, and it would be unlike anything ever before witnessed on Earth.

The Four Factions Opposing the Exvaders

ATLAS—a hybrid force that combines the past and the future

ATLAS is a faction that combines powers of old magic with the wonders of the latest technologies. Its forces wield the most advanced military arsenal developed in the United States and Europe, while also making extensive use of revived ritual magic and alchemy. They are joined by various supernatural beings of myth and legend, as well as refugees from other universes destroyed by the Exvaders. 

Volnar—a fantastical world of swords and sorcery

Volnar is a world in another universe which has been fighting the Exvaders for ages, long before they had attacked Earth. While it is a fantastical realm devoid of modern weaponry, its mighty warriors and spellcasters more than make up for this lack. Volnar is home to humans, elves, beastfolk, dragons, and many other races and creatures, most of which are eager to help fight the Exvaders.

Wonderverse—a universe of adventure, wonder, and mayhem

The Wonderverse is a universe where the laws of physics work somewhat differently (and much less predictably) than ours. It features a wide variety of inhabitants, ranging from space superheroes, giant robots, and alien crime syndicates. The only constant of the Wonderverse is to always expect the unexpected, as its unpredictable nature is reflected in the way its residents do battle.

Yomajin Front—a coalition of humans, yokai, monsters, and gods

The Yomajin Front is an alliance formed by the nations of Eastern Asia to defend Japan, which continues to be the primary focus of Exvader aggression. It includes the Japanese Self-Defense Force, who have become veterans at fighting against the Exvaders over the years. They are aided by various supernatural entities that reside in the region such as yokai, along with experimental weapons such as giant robots and mechanical dragons that tower over the battlefield.
